...People We Meet
As we travel through this life. It is inevitable that the people we know and meet will fill certain places in the grand scheme of things.
You have the acquaintance, who occasionally crosses your path, yet really serves no purpose in your life other than to say Hi how you doing, when you see them at the local Walmart. That friend of a friend, you happen to recognize, and speak to out of politeness.
Then there is the neighbor, you casually talk to when ever you all happen to be out side watering the flowers, or mowing the grass. Exchanging the local gossip, weather, and news is about all you ever really do. But their always there closer than an acquaintance, yet not really a friend.
And of course there is the friend. That in its self requires a mini series to define. Some peoples ideas of friendship either meets or exceeds the daily recommended dose allowable by law, or their MIA, sometimes even DOA. They come in all colors, shapes, and sizes. But a true friend that you can pour your heart out to and trust to the end of time, is very hard to find.
Next comes the hero. The one who in our minds can do no wrong. They always seem to have the answers, know how to help, and can leap tall buildings in a single bound. They are just one notch above Gandhi, yet one notch below God. Our admiration of them is boundless.
We also have our mentors, the people we strive to be like. The ones who help to shape and mold, the very fabric of our being. They are a teacher, friend, and hero rolled into one. At times we don't even like them, but their wisdom, strength , and knowledge, is what we admire and crave the most.
Last but not least is the silent partner, always there in the background looking out for our best interest. Fluttering in and out, up and down, back and forth in our lives like a butterfly. Their beauty often going unnoticed, until their gone. They are the people we fail to recognize, as having made any significance difference in our lives. Yet in retrospect often times years later we realize just how much they really did contribute to our lives and well being.

Very intuitive sister...I can realize several people in my own life with those qualities you speak of... your one of the heros!!! You helped me learn to walk, talk, sing, dance, jump up and down on a bed! All the important things in life!

Thanks Sis, but you mustn't forget the most important of all. "Live From New York It's Saturday Night". According to Mom I ruined you all with that "Smutty Show". LOL Thanks for the support on my stories! I appreciate it.
