Dear Mr. Collin Raye,

Thank you for your song, "She's With Me". Our daughter, Nicole, has Cerebral Palsey/Mental Retardation. She is an angel placed in a very weak body and owns the biggest heart in the world. Your song described

our life caring for her daily needs and how hard it can be to help people to accept her differences. Some show pity, others compassion. We have been lucky to have a network of loving friends, but it breaks our hearts to think of all the landmarks she will not be able to experience such as: getting married and having children of her own. Thank you for writing a song that so touched our hearts and helped to tell our story. (We know this may not find it's way to you....but thought it was worth a try.)

Heaven's Very Special Child

A meeting was held quite far from earth

"It's time again for another birth."

Said the Angels to the Lords above,

"This special child will need much love."

Her progress may seem very slow

Accomplishments he may not show

And will require extra care

From the folks she meets way down there

She may not run, but laugh and play

Her thoughts may seem quite far away

In many ways she won't adapt

And she'll be known as handicapped

So let's be careful where she is sent

We want his life to be content
